Here, My Dear
Marvin Gaye’s deeply personal album, “Here, My Dear,” often sparks intense discussion among music enthusiasts.
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 81.7/100, a mean average of 81.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.1/100. I chose this over other sets due to the inclusion of “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” which is still the best song on here, but that’s because it’s best-of-all-time tier — what’s great is that every single track on here is really good, some a tiny bit better than others.
The track became Motown’s best-selling single of the 1960s and set a precedent for what fans would expect from Gaye’s repertoire: a soul-stirring blend of passion and innovation.
Gaye’s soulful renditions reverberated through the corridors of music history, influencing a diverse array of artists.
The standard deviation for this artist is 13.9.

One of the great interpreters of song. Most impressive is the bassplay. The thematic richness and musical prowess found in “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” can be heard in the works of artists like Amy Winehouse, Adele, and even the neo-soul vibes of John Legend. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average.
